Trimmed down to the last detail for travel
For a long time I was looking for a travel tripod that was compact and practical. Whenever hiking or touring vacations were advertised, I had to resort to my Nanomax 400T. Unfortunately, that's about as high as the German bridge rails at full height. After some time I came across TM2324. Short preliminary conclusion: The workmanship is very good. The tripod is trimmed for photo tours. Thanks to its light weight of 1.3 kg and quick fasteners on the legs, it can be taken anywhere and set up super quickly. The spherical head with panoramic function works smoothly and gives you a sense of security. Details: 1. Main data: The tripod is 47 cm long when folded. If you set it up, it can reach a maximum height of 159 cm (on the quick release plate), significantly higher than German bridge rails. The weight I measured was 1.31 kg with the ball head and 1.05 kg without the ball head. Despite the tripod, a lot still fits in the case. 2. Ball head: The ball head not only has the function of a real ball head, but also has a panoramic function. The larger wheel releases the spherical head. This works smoothly and can also be rotated downwards 90° at one point. The smaller wheel is used for the panorama function. This works just as smoothly and, as the name suggests, allows for panoramic shots, as only the vertical axis is released. If you just crop the images you will lose resolution (focal length permitting). If you use the built-in panning functions, you will get a higher resolution. 3. Quick Release Plate: The quick release plate and bracket are made of plastic. In this way, a little weight could probably be saved here as well. Plastic looks very valuable and stable. At first glance, I thought it was metal. A spirit or dragonfly level is installed in the recording, so you can align the camera directly in the field. 4. Center Plate: The feet can be locked in 3 positions with carabiners on the center plate. Although the clamps look a little "loose", the legs are surprisingly well secured in the locked position. The middle bar is held by a classic twist lock. 5. Tripod Legs: The tripod legs are equipped with quick-release fasteners. They feel solid and are particularly useful when you're on the go and don't want to screw forever before pulling the leg out and screwing it back on. With the quick-release fasteners, this can be done in seconds. The tubes themselves are made of brushed black aluminum. I found no iron or steel in the legs. Therefore, nothing can rust if the tripod is placed in a stream or in the sea. One of the legs is partially covered in foam. You can carry the tripod well in it. It's much nicer, especially when it's in minus degrees. 6. Bag: The bag looks well made and of course it is precisely fitted to the tripod. You can carry it by the handle or clip it to the included strap. A reflective strip should probably serve to make you better seen by motorists on night walks. While I never carry my tripods around in purses, I find them quite successful. As you can see, the weather has been bad for a long time, but I didn't want to deprive you of my experience. Once the weather improves I will try to upload more pictures later. I bought and paid for the K&F Concept TM2324 as usual via Amazon, but I get my money back as a product tester. As always, my opinion remains independent and honest.
