This is an excellent black mist filter, it feels great, installs smoothly, and feels sturdy. Although I haven't tested its scratch resistance, I believe in K & F's products.

Damned! This makes the highlights very fresh and soft! A great investment if you like that soft look!

I use this for street photography, portraits and car photography, great dream-like effects and any glaring light turns into a soft glow.

Shot a couple of cars and I love the finished product! I haven't had the pleasure of shooting portraits with it, but wow, I'm blown away.

Bought it for my mirrorless camera. I love the effect that is out there, much like filters used in films like Minority Report and War of the Worlds by Steven Spielberg, it gives a softer, more diffuse, dream-like image. It's pretty strong, check out examples online to see how other strengths compare.

It adds the right amount of haze for portraits to make it stylistic. It doesn't add too much in my opinion and the image is still pretty sharp. I've included a test shot below that I took of a friend in direct sunlight with a star filter and an ND filter.
Definitely worth it.

I have the 1 and it looks amazing. The filter is well made, the thread is the same on both sides, so that ND filters fit well. it could be cheaper to buy, but it made my work a little more interesting.

The filter is slim and made of aluminum. The sides have really nice grooves, make using the filter very smooth. Great glass. Actually scratch-resistant. Took out my keys and hey no scratches. Thumbs up.

In the pictures, the first image is with the filter on, the second one is without the filter. Shot with the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens at f/1.8. The main difference is in the highlights area. Note how there is loss of contrast and a gentle glow effect around the candle lights and around the stronger highlights. Also, there is a very subtle, dream-like haze in the image, the image sort of feels a little bit warmer.

I can definitely see how this filter will have its place in my camera bag.

Quality-wise, the filter is very nicely made. The storage case is hugely oversized. Looks like the same case size is used for all filter sizes. This is suboptimal for the consumer, since there is no reason why I need to find space for the huge case for a small filter.

The retail box is presentable, and projects quality. The whole package would make a nice gift.
The effect is very subtle, do your research and don't expect too strong of an effect The effect is very subtle, do your research and don't expect too strong of an effect The effect is very subtle, do your research and don't expect too strong of an effect The effect is very subtle, do your research and don't expect too strong of an effect
