So far, this driveway alarm system has been reliable and worked perfectly. I installed 2 sensors outside and the base monitor pretty close together indoors. The sensors are exposed to cold and rain and have been installed for about a month. I turn on the sensor in the evening and at night to wake me up when it's alarmed. One sensor tells me if there is anything near our cul-de-sac driveway, and the other sensor tells me if something has crossed the driveway. We've had some problems with stray cars in the area lately. It worked perfectly, although I think the local deer like to stand in front of them at night and keep making them take off. The system cannot distinguish between animals, people or vehicles. But you wouldn't expect that at this price. So far I'm happy with what it's doing.

Wireless saved me the hassle of running wires in my driveway, but another great thing for me was that the receiver provided me with a contact closure to hook into my phone system. So whether I'm in the house, barn, or kennel, if someone comes up my driveway, I'll know. Another cool feature is "Break" which allows me to leave the house without disturbing my family when they are still sleeping. After 30 minutes, the alarm will exit pause mode. The only downside is the occasional false alarm that seems to happen on windy days.

Replaced a sensor that was several years old that had quit functioning properly. Easy to pair with my receivers, and even came with a small Phillips screw driver and spare screws.
