I purchased this tiny camera to replace my flip video camera which is showing its age. The clarity of the images are truly amazing. The gimbal allows for smooth footage even when walking or moving about. This camera can be used without the necessity of a smart phone or special apps which means much greater freedom, though one can use a smart phone if one chooses to. Still photos are very detailed. No zoom facility unlike some similar cameras, however if you don't mind getting a bit closer to the subject (spiders and scorpions excepted) this is no great problem. Battery life is about 4 hours, longer than many rival video cameras.

The camera is very portable and lightweight which is One of the major bonus points of this product, it records quite well and the battery usually last the whole day for the day trip, longer than your phone recording, me and my family recently went on a hike and it documented some amazing memories, the camera does require a SD card, the instructions state that the quality is 1080p I was a little bit worried as the camera was so small and the camera screen showed the videos and pictures to be a slightly worse quality however upon examining the footage from the SD card on my laptop I was very happy! There are also many reasons in which having this devise is better than using a camera or a phone especially during videos, as the camera lense slowly will adapt and turn to the kovement of your hand and automatically find the focal points for you, which even allows shaky hands to come out with amazing quality footage! There’s many different settings also which is extremely easy to access and the device also has a timer quality which allows you to prop the camera up and snap group photos, and because of the automatic focus the lense allows all of the images came out great quality and super clear!
if you don’t trust the automatic focusing you can also download and app on your phone to control the movement of the camera!
lightweight and durable lightweight and durable lightweight and durable

First impressions are super looking handheld camera, the weight distribution is superb, very well balanced.

The camera is amazing, what I do like is the control you have using your smart phone, download the app and you can position the camera away form the phone and the phone will completely control the camera, moving it from left to right, up and down etc, very smooth, really impressed.

With the app you also have Smart Tracking, the camera will follow an object, track it, keep a very steady stable image of a fast moving object, and impressive.

The 6-axis stabiliser is as good as it claims, kept very stable while out and about with it

As with any camera the most important part is always the picture quality, it can be feature packed, but if the picture lets it down there pointless, however this really does have a quality image, superb outdoor with good lighting, and inside was impressive, but it really showed it quality outside.

Using the camera will take sometime, there is fair amount to learn before you’ll be enjoying all its features, I watched a few videos etc to help with some of the features.

A truly lovely camera, quality build, quality picture, quality features.

I was excited to receive this as it seemed a really convenient way to take high quality 4K video, and I wasn't disappointed. While I've never heard of the brand before and was concerned that it would be some cheap product, I was surprised how nice it felt out of the box and how easy it was to set up. Straight out the box, it turned on and could easily cycle through the different modes such as auto follow or pan. The menu, surprisingly, is touch screen and can easily be swiped down to adjust the audio and visual settings, change to 'professional mode' and adjust the frame rate and resolutions. What you do need before you can use it, is a micro SD card - the camera won't record without it, as there's no built in storage. They really should make that clearer as if I hadn't got one already, I would have had to buy one especially. What I'm most impressed about is how stable the camera is and how easily it follows whatever you're recording - the camera itself has so much movement and flex on the arm, so can really hold it's fix no matter how much your hand might move. The app works well and it was easy to download my recordings to my phone via the wifi connection, and you can also use the phone app as a second screen to view what the camera sees. The only downside I've noticed so far is how hot the handle to the camera gets - more than a few minutes and you can really feel the burning in your palm. It's definitely designed for very short clips, unless you don't mind it getting hot in your hand. This would be an ideal camera for anyone who vlogs or wants to take high quality video on the go, without draining your phone - I imagine it would be perfect on holiday or at a theme park, where you could make the most of it's tiny size and high stability recording.

A slim little camera that fits snugly in your hand and has only a few buttons. When you turn it on the camera head starts to move about to get itself in the best position. The moving parts about the lens serve as a gimbal to give you as smooth a video as possible as you move about. They can function in different ways depending on which mode you are using.
Once you have the camera on, the clear screen on the back is interactive. This is how they have kept the physical buttons to a minimum. The menus are accessible by swiping the screen up and down and left to right.
There are many menus, and many sub-menus, attached to all the different modes. I have not gotten that far yet, but I see that in expert mode you can even adjust things like the ISO and so on.
There are several standards of video mode, and the camera can flip around to film yourself as you move about. You can film time lapses, and motion lapses where the lens moves from one set position to another as you take your time lapse. The slow-motion function is fun as well. The camera also takes decent still photos.
There is an app for the phone that controls all the functions and is useful if you want to include yourself in any of your productions.
There is a standard socket on the base to attach a tripod – essential for time lapses and panoramas.
It is taking me a while to get familiar with all the different possibilities with this camera, but there are some useful videos you can watch that do help.
Altogether a fun device that I will probably get as much entertainment out of figuring it out totally as I will creating video with it.
The video included is on time lapse setting.

Very well packaged and boxed. Opening the box is similar to opening a high end smartphone, it is very well presented.
In the box you get the camera - which is tiny, it just fits in my hand (but I have large hands...)
A basic instruction manual which is sufficient to figure out most functions of the camera.
A USB-C charging cable, which is a bit on the short side at 300mm. OK for lap tops but is difficult using with my desktop as the camera is left hanging. I tried a spare USB cable which is 1000mm long and has a USB C adaptor on the end but it wouldn't connect - strange but worth knowing.
You also get a well thought out protective case. Power and charging points easily accessible while cased. The case is pretty necessary as the camera and gimble look very delicate and probably wouldn't survive being dropped.
As such you also get a wrist wrist strap.

Better instructions and tutorials can be found by easily downloading the app - recommended.

The camera itself is faultless.
I charged it up and left it three weeks only using it to check the functions. I then did a little trial on the steadiness of the recording which can be seen in the video. The battery is still at 80-90%

I have a gimble on my drone so I know just how steady they can keep the image when the camera is constantly moving. This is just as good.
I had a jog down the street with the steady cam and my Samsung S20 phone. The phone isn't in landscape cos its not easy to hold while running but you get the idea. The video on the left of the screen is obviously the steady cam and it remains pretty stable though out the short jog.
Resolution on the actual footage is up to 4K and flawless. The video here is a much lower resolution for quick uploading but it demonstrates the stability of the camera and gimbal.

Other features work well such as image following and facial recognition. You can select a face to follow and the camera will keep the face central through out the filming.

Slow Motion filming, photo mode, for unblurred snaps while on the move are some other features that all work equally well.

The only downside is that there is no SD card included. I used a class 10 32GB card which had no problems recording in full 4k. I expect it would fill up very fast when shooting long scenes, so get the biggest you can.

I can't compare it with any other makes other than the company who make the drone I have (they also make - expensive - steady cams) so pricewise I'd say it's pretty much what I would expect from a quality product such as this.
Lots of features and very stable.

The first thing I pondered on before even opening the package was the price. For a pocket camera / action camera etc. will this prove it's worth.

Opening the box revelaed a small, thin camera that looked a little different to other pocket cameras and that was down to the head of the camera.

Setting it up was easy and it soon became apparant as to how stable this little cam is. It will remain stable even with the shakiest of hands so there should be no exclusions as to who can use this.

The motion sensors work excellently when in the follow me mode. They detect the movement perfectly and the head rotates as one moves around so one always remains in camera view.

The camera is small enough to hold easily and comfortably and is lightweight so there is no urge to put it down to rest one's hand / arm.

Now for the best part about this camera, it comes with a tripod screw hole so it can be mounted on a tripod. That makes it even better for doing selfie videos as one has more control over what is shown in the background. By being a little further away from the cam one brings in more background so it's ideal for panoramic shots.

Overall I couldn't find anything negative with the cam and it's use. The head rotates around so smoothly that even with a shaky hand there is no shaking of the imagery thus the results are perfectly smooth videos.

Going back to the beginning, where I questioned the price and wether this will prove it's worth or not, I can say it does prove it's worth as apart from it doing what it says in the descriptions it is well built, lightweight, easy to set up and use and can be taken anywhere. It is ideally suitable for holidays / touring and a good tripod makes this cam even better.

I am recommending this pocket camera as it can easily be carried in a pocket or even a purse, it is well built, it operates so smoothly, it is good quality and it has proven it's good value to me.
Great Cam that does as good as it says it does Great Cam that does as good as it says it does Great Cam that does as good as it says it does

This is a worthy purchase but you need to pay attention to the settings and learn the camera's quirks!
Onboard mic picks up the camera noise and button presses so it cannot really be used as the main audio source! An audio field recorder like a zoom h1n is needed this is what I use. This means the onboard mics audio is used to sync the separate sound track in editing, it's easy to do. Settings are key to using this camera to it's fullest potential you need to learn how to use it so spend some time watching tutorials there are plenty out there. Every camera has it's quirks. Every filming session requires checking the settings no matter what camera you use. Feiyu Tech are always updating firmware which is a good thing and have added things via updates. All in all this is a really good purchase I would recommend.

Feiyu Pocket 4K camera is a good entry level gimbal camera. It is lightweight and very compact. It has only three buttons, including the on/off switch. Each of these buttons control a number of functions, which can be a bit confusing when you first start using the camera. The small touchscreen is used to adjust settings. Swiping the screen in various directions gives access to various menus and sub-menus. Some practice will be required to be able to manipulate the camera smoothly whilst fiming. Camera can also be linked to a smart phone, using an easily down loaded app. This allows the user to control the camera and view images remotely. The app also provides access to firmware updates and some short tutorials.

Feiyu are a major provider of gimbal systems for conventional cameras and have used their knowledge to produce what is essentially an extremely stable hand held 'steadycam'. The gimbal action is very smooth and eliminates the jerkiness that is experienced when using conventional cameras or mobile phones to capture action scenes. The camera also has a choice of follow modes, which can be adjusted for sensitivity.

In video mode the camera can be used in a number of resolutions up to 4K and has slow motion and time lapse settings. In camera mode it can set for single shot, time lapse and panoramic photography. Within the menus and sub-menus, there is the facility to adjust various camera parameters in order to obtain the optimum results. For instance, whilst there is no dedicated night shooting mode, the ISO and shutter speed can be adjusted in 'Professional Mode' to compensate for low light. The user will need to experiment in order to obtain the best results in different conditions. Camera can easily be returned to default settings with a single action.

Camera comes with a protective carrying case, optional wrist strap and charging cable. It also has standard tripod bush in the base. Feiyu also market a number of reasonably priced accessories that can be attached using this feature, including clamps and 'selfie sticks', which increase the versatility of the camera. One accessory that I would recommend is their 'Portable Foldable Time-Lapse photography Bracket mini gimbal tripod' This is basically three small feet that fold out to provide a stable base for the camera, which is essential when using the timelapse and panorama settings. When not in use they can be folded in and extend the length of the camera body by just over 3" (80mm). Those with larger hands will find that it enables them to get a better grip and have better access to the cameras controls.

It should be noted that the camera has no zoom facility, so is more suited to close in photography. There is no provision for an external microphone. Whilst the internal microphone is adequate, be aware that it will pick up up noise from the camera itself. There is also no built in memory and user will need to provide a high speed micro SD card. Feiyu recommend a micro SD card with a speed of U3 or above with a maximum capacity of 512GB. Whilst cheaper brands are available, SD cards that meet this specification from the more established manufacturers can cost in excess of £100. Like everything else you get what you pay for! Prospective buyers should take this additional cost into account when considering this product.

Camera comes with minimal instructions, but a more comprehensive manual can downloaded from Feiyu. Tutorials and other useful videos are also available online.

Marketed primarily for the vlogger, the Feiyu Pocket 4K might also find favour amongst current 'action camera' users. As noted above, it will take practice to become fluent in the use of the camera's features, but the user will be rewarded by the resulting images.

Price might seem prohibitive, but it is still cheaper than some other comparable cameras.

I've tested this little camera out over the last few weeks and am delighted with this awesome little piece of kit.

I ordered it with two things in mind. For one, as the kids have started getting into skateboarding and stunt scooters then it won't be long before they want to use a little camera to capture all kinds of action as they get up to scrapes at the local skate park.

Mainly though, I enjoy putting together my own little music videos to accompany my songs. It's a hobby rather than anything commercial but thus far I've been using a combination of my decent but bulky SLR camera and my Samsung phone.

This little camera is fantastic for the up close random action filming that I do and a massive upgrade in what I've been doing so far. The camera head is superbly balanced and super-smooth, this combined with the compact size and lightweight of the camera means it's the perfect piece of kit for any kind of project or just fun filming. I'm no technical expert so can't describe how it works but the stabilizer makes for exceptionally smooth playback even when you've been less than smooth capturing the action.

Picture quality is amazing, sharp and lovely colours. It's a great camera for people like me who are pretty clueless when it comes to cameras as it just seems to adapt to the range and lighting, without any need to fiddle with the settings.

It takes a standard micro-SD card which come in a mind bogglingly high capacity these days. My 128G one from my digital camera is working well. I'm getting 3-4 hours of battery life from a single charge which is more than enough for taking it out and about. I can't wait to take it with me next time I go snowboarding - if I ever get to go abroad again!!

The built in display is good enough if you want to just point and shoot but the app (connects easily to the camera via wifi) gives you greater control and allows you to get more of a feel for what things are going to look like on the recording as the picture quality is much better. The app gives you more options to fiddle with the settings if you know what you're doing - as mentioned, I'm happy with the auto tuning for now!

The app also gives you some cool features such as a fish-eye lense, different timing settings such as slo-mo or a cool speed up mode which I've used for work to do some speeded up promo videos. There's some editing tools on there too which make it easy to chop things up, get rid of the boring bits and leave in the good stuff!

I'm still messing with all the settings and I'm sure there' more to learn but so far I am loving this little gadget and am very impressed with it!
