Dont try to losen the nob when first opening ! Wait until attached to monitor or w/e trust me
When i first purchased it I thought it was extremely tight and had no way of turning but when i put my monitor idk if its the weight but made it easier to turn back n forth. I just hope i didnt mess with it trying to loosen it but so far so good really good tight firm hold
