I've had this trail camera for a few days now and so far I'm really impressed. As soon as you unpack it, it makes a valuable impression and impresses with its handy format of approx. 8.5 cm × 13.5 cm × 6 cm (8 cm thick if you include the two motion sensors on the front, which are used for lateral motion detection). ). The camera comes with a strap (length 1.90m) for attaching to trees or similar, a flexible Velcro fastener, an AV and a USB cable and a small tripod with screws and dowels to attach the camera to e.g. B. to attach a wall. An instruction manual is of course also included. So far I have tried different settings: 4K video, HD video and 20MP photos. Unfortunately, with a video resolution of 3840×2160p (4K) you only have a frame rate of 20fps, which doesn't really bother me though. From a resolution of 1920×1080 you get 60 fps again and thus smooth videos. I was really positively surprised by the accuracy when the recording was triggered - I have now had almost 700 videos recorded and had a maximum of five where the camera was switched off because of wind or The photos are of good quality and even from a distance (2 m) from the aviary, you can see which bird species have visited it. When placing the camera, however, you should note the wide viewing angle of 120°, which makes everything look a little further away. But of course the wide-angle lens offers a higher area coverage. I tested the camera on my aviary at temperatures between -4°C and -15°C. Despite the temperatures and the long operating time of mostly 7 hours a day for four days, I haven't had to change the batteries, which also surprised me in a positive way. We bought a game camera for the first time. Since we live on the edge of a forest, we wanted to see what was "hanging around" at night, during the day we turned them off.
We followed the operating instructions exactly and set all the presets first. It was very easy - and very fast, since German is already set as the language.
We took a few test shots in the apartment - everything was fine.
The pictures are good and everything is clear and easy to see.
The camera and all the settings are very easy to use.
You can set the time you want a recording to take place, and we set it from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. because we want to watch the night - we see it during the day anyway. The setting time is flexible/ variably adjustable. Also adjustable video, photo or even both
On the screen - if you open the camera - we could already look at it in small format - the SD card is inserted into the PC, the pictures are of course nice and big and everything is very easy to see.
The game camera works flawlessly, is easy to use and we are excited to see what else will happen with us. The price/performance ratio is good.
