I used this soft black filter for portraits, and the photos I took softened the wrinkles, freckles, and pores of the facial skin of the portraits, and it looked like the person being photographed had nice skin, creating a dreamy, cinematic look. It is recommended for video shooting and portrait photography.

The effect of this filter can best be described with the words: cinematic, or film look. Stronger light sources become wonderfully soft, as if through a diffuser. However, the sharpness does not suffer noticeably. Really nice not only for vodeographers. It gives my photos a dreamy and classic look.
