82mm Fader ND2-32 (1-5 Stop) Variable ND Lens Filter Neutral Density Filter for Camera Lens NO X Spot Nanotec Ultra-Slim Weather-Sealed
SKU: KF01.1064
i wanted to use this for my sony a7s iii and 16-35 f2.8 lens, but there is a hard circle around the corners when zoomed out at 16mm. very unfortunate. also it doesn’t have threading on the front to put another filter on. ultimately a waste of money and i cant send it back. the only plus is i like the hard stop, whereas the gobe one i have for a 67mm thread just keeps spinning

Virtually perfect consistency of brightness at all focal lengths except very wide.notice noticed X at around ND32 and above at 16mm focal length. At 24mm X appears closer to 64, by 28mm X still faint but apparent at ND64, at 35mm all ND values are completely X free (subjectively - i did peep, but i didn't use any analytical tools to objectively verify ZERO variance in brightness caused by the filter, however, with close examination I failed to see any inconsistencies below ND32 at any focal length, and all focal lengths above 35mm are completely "X" free. All focal lengths 16mm + are usable at ND32 or lesser. All and all its an outstanding variable ND. Its clear and crisp and highly functional. This filter does not degrade contrast or resolution as some variable NDs are prone to do - this is highly functional and a great value. My only advice would be to test out all your lenses on your largest sensor body to find out when and if any artefacts appear so you know what, if any, your limitations are.I found that the X was quickly noticeable - at say ND32 it may be a question as to whether its there or not, but by say ND36 it would be clearly apparent. This is a great filter, but especially with wide angle lenses you should test the water so you know before a bunch of images turn up with artefacts too subtle to see on the display in full sun, but treacherouslu obvious on a display or a print...

I have only ever used this variable ND. I have no experience with a more expensive or higher quality ND filter. WITH THAT SAID... I have nothing but good things to say about this ND. As a full-time videographer, I love using this ND when I'm shooting outside. makes getting a good exposure very easy. there is a clear vignetting when it is very bright outside. i recommend this overall.

I tried and owned many variable ND filter and I have to say that I was really impressed by this one, specially for the price. It's fully usable from 2 to 32 with any black band appearing not like others .....I will definitely buy more different sizes from this brand.

Those are seriously underrated !!Amazing VND ! Better than the tiffen for sure (but that’s not hard to beat - they make terrible filters), and I think might be better than polar pro ?!The most amazing thing about it is that it seems to have a build in IR cut !! IR cut filters cost more than this VND !As a blackmagic camera user - I had very bad IR pollution with no DIY VND or any strong ND, I didn’t see any with this one, and tried using a IR cut in front to see if there is any difference and couldn’t see any on the pocket !

Impressed by these filters, using on a Sony a7iii, makes a huge difference when shooting video outdoors in daylight. They work throughout the given range, so far I have experienced no problems. Image is nice a crisp.

I now use more my camera without worrying about the reflection or bright spots I love that is easy to install and I can change to less filter to higher. The package is a great addition to protect the ND I definitely would love that.Still I have to try more the filter with the Pandemic situation is not possible to test this on other scenarios or more often still holding my final review.

Look I’ve been testing out many ND filters and I’ve returned all of them!! I’m a videographer and been doing this for over 8 years! This product just makes a huge difference and saves you money and time. Best part is that since this is a variable Filter you can adjust how much you want to darken without having to purchase multiple filters.

I use this for both photography and videography. I am a professional in both fields. I've tested this on multiple projects and never found anything wrong with it. Colors casting is minimial, vignetting non-existant, and no X with a hard stop on both end. Not worth spending money on anything else.Note that ANY variable ND will give you both the X when pushed too far, and polarizing effects (minimizing glares) and for portraits this can change skin falloff in the highlights. If you want to change this I would get solid ND's
