In my opinion, NEEWER has once again brought a product onto the market that amazes you - at least me!

The filter is delivered in a bag that is not entirely practical in my opinion. Why not so practical? I'm more of a fan of these hard-shell cases, where the filter can be put in. But it's a personal feeling, but I didn't want to leave it unmentioned.

Installing the filter is very simple - remove the filter from the case, screw it on and off you go. I use the filter on a Tamron 24-70mm 2.8f G2 and it fits perfectly. No tilting or anything like that. What I've gotten into the habit of: Don't tighten the filter to such an extent that you can't get it off later ;-) It happened to me once, then never again *just saying* I regard

the filter quality as high-quality and good. I find the control dial easy to turn the ND filter into the desired position. A well-thought-out concept so that you don't accidentally reach the glass with your fingers.

Absolutely sufficient for my purposes, as I use the ND filter. In my opinion, the picture quality is really great with filters!

I think the price-performance ratio is good and fair. I've had good experiences with the filter!

K&F Concept have been creating genre defining filters for many moons now. This is my second fave filter from them. 10 stops dynamic neutral density range? Are you serious?!?!?!? Landscapes have never been easier to photograph This is all you need to shoot a killer video in natural light without murdering your highlights. The color cast is nonexistent, the colors pop, and the quality of these landscapes are TOP OF THE LINE. From the wallet it comes in to the quality of the glass K&F is the BEST filter brand out right now they understand quality.

I use the 52mm version on a Sigma C 35mm/1.4 for Sony and can therefore only say something about it.

In brief:
(+) good sharpness and color fastness
(+) good workmanship and feel
(+) improved adjustment with handle lever (no problem even in cold weather with gloves)
(+) infinitely variable and versatile
(+) nice and practical leather case for storage

First I asked myself what the sharpness and color fastness look like with the variable ND filter. I've had such bad experiences with other products here in the past that I ended up only using these filters in an extreme emergency. You can achieve such nice results with ND filters. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to carry around 5 different filters and still get good results?

In addition to being used for filming, the filter is particularly interesting for long exposures (e.g. in water) and open-glare shots in sunlight.
The filter is easy to use in all three cases. You just have to be aware that you can no longer use the lens hood due to the small handle lever.
This lever is so easy to use that you can also use and change the ND filter while filming. You won't notice any shaking on the tripod.

The SHARPNESS is surprisingly good and I was also unable to determine color changes/color casts/etc. That's why there's a big plus here.

The ND value can be adjusted continuously. However, this also means that the actual value is not discernible. There is a scale with small squares, which are in the right place even when the filter is screwed on - but this does not replace precise information. So if you would like to let the amateur mathematician out and calculate exactly how you can/must adjust shutter speed and aperture, it will be difficult here.
For me personally, however, this doesn't matter in practice. I then simply take a few minutes more time and, if in doubt, I will get the desired result by trying it out.
Especially when filming, however, I can already see what the result is in live view and here the filter is only used for me to adjust the final exposure. It also serves this purpose very well.

The workmanship is of high quality. The filter is not the lightest or thinnest, but it looks very robust, is light but not too easy and, above all, the thread can be screwed on without the snagging and tilting that is otherwise common with filters. The screw-on handle element underlines the high-quality condition of the filter and supports the already pleasant feel in a special way.

I also find the stylish leather case successful. It is very well designed and the filter can be removed from the bag easily and without fiddling with a simple mechanism. All you have to do is pull on a band on the side, which runs through the bag and thus pushes the filter upwards.

Conclusion:
Good filter that gives surprisingly good results and is very pleasant to use.
The workmanship and quality result in a very good price-performance ratio.

I'm used to standard Neutral Density filters and having to buy various degrees of darkening lenses. Not so with this one. I was pleasantly surprise to see that with a sliding of the ring on the filter you can crank it down to very dark for a superlit sunny photo shoot or dial it back to almost completely clear. Or if I just want to decrease the depth of field, this lets me customize the amount of density to fit my lens. Great idea!

As usual with K&F Concept, you get solid quality for a good price.

With this filter, however, you must clearly consider the range of glare. In my opinion, ND3-ND1000 is simply too much to really implement perfectly. Color shift, difficult fine adjustment, etc.

So if you really only want to use a single filter, this is a good price to get you started. However, I would recommend fixed ND levels for photography. A significantly smaller range is also sufficient for filming. So I don't quite see the purpose of this filter, but you have to say unbeaten in the price range. So full points!

Although I already have a variable ND filter, I'm not satisfied with it because the wheel is stiff and the results don't meet my expectations.

Sworn off the ND filters, I came across a product review for this K+F filter, which convinced me so much that I ordered this filter for my new lens (Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8f).

With the packaging (high-quality cardboard packaging with magnetic holder) and then the gold-decorated insert and then the leather case for storage, I gradually introduced me to a high-class product. The filter was delivered dust-free, has visible coatings and a really useful adjustment wheel to dynamically adjust the filter. The screw thread is perfect and the initial results are significantly better than the tests with the rather simple filter.

I'm satisfied, but I expect this performance even at such a high price. Recommendation!
The “pearl effect” was greatly underestimated - very satisfied! The “pearl effect” was greatly underestimated - very satisfied! The “pearl effect” was greatly underestimated - very satisfied! Maybe I've simply picked a better model, or the expectations of some other reviewers regarding the effects of a completely darkened ND3-1000 are simply too high. Of course, you can see optical effects when you set the ND filter to ND1000. It is not without reason that there are significantly more expensive ND filters, which then only cover the ND2-ND32 range. Everyone of us is looking for the egg-laying woolly milksow, but it doesn't actually exist.

I really like the Nano X series. I already own several filters in the series and am absolutely satisfied. You simply can't complain about the price called up and I personally find the effects of ND1000 also bearable. If I want to take particularly high-quality photos, for example with long exposures, then I use a fixed ND1000 filter anyway. However, if I'm traveling and want to be prepared for various situations, I'll take the ND3-ND1000 with me.

The filter is superbly made, and you can tell by the feel when you pick it up. I am also used to this processing from K&F Concept, because my tripod, lens adapters and other filters are also correspondingly well made. From my side, I can make a clear purchase recommendation if you are traveling with the right expectations for such a filter.

Review:
For quick readers, I'll anticipate my review, below I'll explain the details of my decision making, my impressions of the product.

It is not difficult for me to give it a 5 star rating, because the ND filter meets my expectations accurately, its function is impeccable, the mechanical manufacturing quality is also more than convincing, not forgetting the useful and practical storage case.

One small thing bothers me in the product description, the suitability for 8K videos. What's the point, is that pure marketing? It seems that way. I find this advice unnecessary, because you could also say that you can also take photos with it, or is also suitable for color rendering, as well as for b/w. A useless statement.

I have a piece of workmanship in my hands and I can tell that from the first impression, purely from the mechanical quality. Wow, what a milled part, the mount ring. No material has been spared here, nor has the precision of its processing, so the fine thread is also precisely cut and, of course, there is no manufacturing residue on the filter.

The glass, which is high-quality coated optical glass, is absolutely pure and flat, with a straight and oblique view, rotating, I do not recognize any distortion, which is later confirmed in my photos too, and the sharpness of my lens is not adversely affected either.

For direct image comparison, I took a picture with a filter and one without on a tripod, of course with an adjusted exposure in each case. I left the aperture and time as I did, I adjusted the light difference via the sensor sensitivity on the ISO controller, and my premium class German full-frame camera offers plenty of work space.

I see almost no differences, only in contrast do I think the filter recognizes a minimally more inanimate image, slightly less brilliance. With regard to the shades, I recognize a slightly “colder” image, i.e. minimally bluish.

I can easily adjust both in the RAW Converter and I think these minor influences are acceptable, and I only recognize them in a direct comparison and you don't normally have them. As you would expect, K&F Concept really delivers quality.

I also really like the grip of the filter, so I can grip and unscrew it securely even now in winter with cold fingers, without having to worry about it slipping on my fingers.

For another smaller filter thread, I have a comparable ND filter from a well-known German brand, it is significantly more expensive and only slightly surpasses the image quality of the K&F Concept filter. Direct comparison is not possible, they are different lenses, which is why the filter diameter is different.

In conclusion, I fully recommend buying the K&F Concept ND filter. It clearly serves the premium class, at least the lower premium class; it clearly stands out in terms of quality from the cheap ND filters in the 20-30 € class.

Thanks for your attention while reading my review. If you would like, feel free to give me feedback or a “thumbs up”, I would be happy to hear from you.
