Given the current interest in anamorphic lenses (and the effects they produce), it's nice to have a reasonably affordable option to recreate the most commonly desired effect (streaks of light) without buying and learning a complicated/cumbersome anamorphic setup need to use effectively, or spend a lot of money on one of the newer modern anamorphic lenses.

The build quality is good, perfectly functional and in line with what I would expect at this price point.

This filter is a very specific creative tool that I will use in very specific situations to achieve the desired effect. I won't be using it on most shoots, but being able to pull it out on the shoot I need it for will be a huge benefit.

I had fun playing with this Blue Streak filter. It creates blue stripes on your subject or, depending on the setting, light stripes. I enjoy capturing unique shots with the camera and this one is really great. It rotates 360 degrees on your lens, allowing you to rotate the strips in any direction.

I have always been satisfied with products from the K&F Concept brand. The filter was clean and ready to use, which is a rare treat. It also comes with a durable carry case and microfiber cloth.

This filter is a wonderful addition to my photography gear and has opened up a new world of visual storytelling for me. The filter quality seems to be perfect. I'm used to that from K&F Concept. And you get a really nice blue streak effect. The problem, however, is that you get that with every single light source in your image, so you don't really have the ability to be selective. You have to compose your recording really carefully. The filter rotates smoothly, allowing you to change the direction of the stripes, but you'll still see them in any light source. I think in the end Photoshop is probably the better option to give you more control over such effects. Still, it's a worthwhile tool to have in your toolbox, especially given the cheap price for an FX filter.

It uses the same high quality optical glass as the other newer filters. The precision machining of the filter threads and ring is impressive and gives the feel of a much more expensive filter. So I can't fault any of the properties of the filter. It's just for the way I shoot, it probably won't be as useful as for some other types of photography.

Apart from the blue stripe effect in the lens, the glass is very clear. I can't tell much of a difference when it comes to image quality with the filter off and on.

The filter only seems to take effect when the conditions are right. I pointed it at really big bright objects and it doesn't seem to "prob". With smaller lights it comes into its own much more. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

This filter has limited uses, but if you want to get a little creative with your photography, this filter is for you. Once you've attached the filter to the end of your lens, you can rotate it a full 360° to place a blue stripe at any angle.
As with other K&F Concept filters I have, the quality is there. It comes with its own hard case and lens cloth.
It's not the cheapest filter, but I think it's worth the price.

You need some good, sharp highlights, e.g. B. if you point it directly at a bright light to get the most out of it. When you do that the effect is great and it's good at mimicking the blue streaks you get from anamorphic lenses. You can rotate it to any angle, which is handy for switching between portrait and landscape modes, but anything other than horizontal stripes looks odd to me. Probably just because we're used to seeing that in movies.

Aside from the blue stripes, it's otherwise very clear and hardly detracts from the rest of the picture, which is great.

This Blue Streak filter comes in a beautiful K&F Concept branded cardboard box (sealed in a plastic wrap). Inside the box is the filter, well protected in a handy protective case. A small cleaning cloth is also provided.

The 77mm diameter frame of the filter is well made and feels quite sturdy. It screwed my lenses and step-up rings on and off with no problems. It also rotates smoothly so you can change the angle of the flare effect to your liking.

The quality of the glass is also very good without any significant problems. Due to the thin frame, I didn't have any problems with vignetting either.

The Blue Streak filter effect is great for recreating the Anamorphic Flare effect. In this case, flare from a light source appears as a stretched horizontal line, rather than circular bokeh. With care, this can really add impact to your image and can also be used to give your image a different mood or atmosphere. It's a useful effects filter whether you're shooting, filming, or both.

In summary, this is a well-made filter for adding anamorphic flare effects to your photos and/or footage. While it may not quite live up to the standard of far more expensive filters, unless you're a professional filmmaker who needs the absolute best, it should be perfectly good enough for what you need.

Not only did this filter provide the flare look I was looking for, but it added a cinematic softness to everything captured through it. Streaks are really noticeable with extremely bright sources (like the sun), but you can get some great effects if you light them acid-free like I did with an LED flashlight
