The short rod supplied is 30 cm long while the closed stand reaches 50 cm. How I use the tripod is very simple to use and other measures and opinions on how well it works can be found in the various reviews, I just say that I use it with Tamron 150/600 G2 on Nikon D7200 and Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope both on head ball supplied and on Gimbal to replace it but only on smooth tripod without the extension rod that I have not tried. Relatively light weight excellent transport bag with reflective insert and shoulder strap with padded shoulder strap. Head equipped with attachment for anything and is of the Arca-Swiss compatible type.

wanted a quality tripod for long exposures and am very happy with it. I left it on the shore while the tide came in and the water didn't shake it, and the photos turned out beautifully. I've also used it for product photography and can get a nice angle. It's quick and easy to set up and store away

I've gone through dozens of tripods. Using it for both work and the hobby of photography, this is one of the best tripods I've had. Works great, light weight and the carrying case is very nice.

Aside from buying some ultra-pro gear, which is a bit of overkill, this unit handles everything tripod-related, and if you buy the full version, the accessory includes a small spirit level, so no more shaky horizons or unwanted converging verticals available. You can also get the best shots to start with instead of running around with unsquare images in photo software afterwards. Mainly aluminum apart from some plastic latches and rubber feet so doesn't get loose and wobbly too quickly like those cheap generic badged tripods. Also comes in a cute tote bag with adjustable straps. Couldn't fault it.

I had a ranger that I lost and replaced with this one. Overall it's ok. It's slightly longer than the Ranger and heavier to pack. The bullet adjustment levers took a little getting used to and struggle to engage with the weight of a large lens. Overall good value for money and does what you need.

am 5’8 and with shoes I am taller and this is the best tripod ever for your money, stable, inexpensive, tall for tall ppl and even short and /or able to move to a lower position for product photoshoot a or videography shoots. Strong, don’t blow in wind and nice color and came in great condition, had it over 3 months now, great for cameras and iPhones ( I got a phone mount from best buy by joby )

needed a tripod I could fit a camcorder-size device on top of, yet with minimal room, I knew I'd still have to wedge it into the corner of the room, in and around other electronics. This tripod is working perfectly, as the legs adjust out to nearly perpendicular, and at a variety of heights. Other tripods I've had like this are always missing something, like a bubble/level, but this one has that too! It also breaks down to an extremely compact size for transport. Exactly what I was looking for!
