K&F filters are a name that I have come to trust for excellent quality with an affordable price point. I am not easy on my gear in the kit at times. With that said I still set expectations for my gear knowing that there is a better-than-average chance that it will get used hard, marred, scratched, and sometimes destroyed but until that time, it has to perform, and K&F does just that.
I was a bit hesitant about getting a Variable ND Filter for my Pocket 3 it is persnickety enough without adding to the mix spinning an adjustment wheel to get the right filtration for my shooting. So far I have had no issues and no warnings about the gimble locking into protection mode. and I do like being able to tune to what looks best for me and sometimes that is somewhere in between steps.
I shoot everything 4K 24 or 60 with an ISO never over 400 and prefer 100-200 for as much as I can. this variable ND does allow me to keep everything in perspective with no blowouts and my motion blur in camera not post is perfect.
The magnet on this filter is excellent and it stays put so I have no worries about that. the adjustments are simple and as I shared easy enough to not stress the gimbal. Plus the gimbal will go into lens protection mode when turned off meaning that it closes completely.
There is only one thing that I have found after hours or use that does bother me a bit. Many lower-quality variable ND Filters will have an artifact or black box effect when pushing the filter to its maximum performance level sometimes leaving the operator with just not enough filter for the shot. This filter has a similar issue but from everything, I can tell it only happens after passing the last stop and then moving back to the first stop. I guess that I would prefer a first to last stop then back over the 360° of this filter. Not a deal breaker by any means just a bothersome observation.
All that said, I find that I am leaving this variable ND Filter on camera all the time because it's just that good.

The build quality is great—the filters are thin, lightweight, and fit perfectly onto the Osmo Pocket lens without interfering with its functionality. One of the best features is the magnetic attachment, which makes it super easy to pop the filters on and off without any hassle. Plus, they’re so low profile that you can leave them on while closing the camera, which adds to the convenience.
The included black diffusion filters are an interesting addition for those who like a more cinematic, blooming effect in their shots, although I personally don’t use them often. The light pollution filter, however, is a game changer for night photography, especially in urban areas where streetlights can interfere with the shot.
The filters come neatly packaged in a sturdy carry case, making it easy to keep everything organized and accessible. The only downside I’ve found is that the filters are quite small and fiddly to handle, especially if you have difficulty reading small text like I do. Some markings in the case to indicate which filter is which would be a helpful addition, and perhaps a small tool to assist with placing and removing the filters would prevent fingerprints on the glass.

The VND filter fits perfectly on my Osmo Pocket 3. The magnets hold it firmly in place. Like other K&N items, it is very well made with quality materials. The optics are high-quality and do not negatively affect the image at all.

These filters are great! The magnetic design is clever and they stay affixed quite well. They really do a good job of making video capture easy during very sunny weather; the results are much better than without them. I am still a very amateur photographer, so I don't know the exact circumstances in which they would work best, but it seems to allow a slower shutter speed in situations where that would normal blow out the image. This is a good workaround for not really being able to adjust the aperture on this camera.

Durch das mitgelieferte Microfasertuch kann man die Filter auch immer wieder leicht reinigen.
Eine Beeinträchtigung der Bildqualität konnte ich bislang nicht feststellen.
Mitgeliefert wurde ebenfalls ein Displayschutzglas welches leicht aufzubringen war, und ebenfalls passgenau ist.
Auch können die Filter auf dem Objektiv belassen werden wen man das Gerät abschaltet, da es sehr dünn ist, und es schön mit eingeklappt wird, ohne mit dem Rahmen zu kollidieren.

This filter set is great because it reduces the number of filters needed. The slim, compact design makes it easy to store, and it can be left on even when turning off the OP3. One suggestion: be patient when rotating the ring, and practice using it before an important shoot. Enjoy!
