K&F Concept has produced another fine product, to compliment several others that they currently produce.

This is pretty simple NP-F battery charger, but with a total of four charging bays - that's excellent! If you have a number of NP batteries, it's great to be able to load up this charger and not have to worry about swapping out charged batteries every few hours. After a shoot, just collect all your batteries, put them in the charger and walk away. Come back in the morning, everything is up and ready to go. Nice!

The bottom of the charger is just one big, flat surface - save for the slight rings around the four screw holes that hold the unit together. Four silicone "stick-on feet" do wonders in terms of keeping the unit on a table. The charger uses a standard AC cord that attaches to one side of the charger. It's a decent flat, electrical cord, 18AWG and with a standard two-prong plug. That end plug has a very good strain relief and is very easy to grab and pull out of an outlet. At slightly over three feet, it could use a longer cable, in my opinion. I am tired of short electrical cords.

The display is clear and displays in green. It can also show 1. Charge, 2. Error, 3. Discharge, as well as showing the amount of charge in the battery. I would prefer a 4 bar graph, but this displays in a 3 segment bar.

I did not disassemble the unit to check on this, but I have had chargers where the input power connector is directly soldered to the motherboard. The problem with that, is that after a lot of putting the cable and then taking the cable out, the motherboard can break. This has happened to me on more than one occasion. The only solution I can offer, is to keep the cable attached to the charger as much as you can. Unplug the unit from the mains when not in use, but leave the other connection attached to the charger.

Bottom Line - A decent charger, that offers 4 independent and separate slots for charging up NP batteries, at 1000mA, 8.4volts. Also makes an excellent back-up battery charger, too!

I have several NP-F batteries, 550s, 750s and 970s and they all work fine with this charger. I've had no issues connecting them or the batteries themselves loosing charge. So the charger is doing what its supposed to do. The only annoying thing is the placement of the AC port. If the cable sticks out 2 or 3 inches and makes it hard to place in a corner to the right. Maybe a 90 degree angle cable would be better to get it closer to a wall and out of the way. Other than that issue, it works well and does what its supposed to.

Finding reliable power sources for my equipment has always been a bit hit or miss, but these K&F Concept NP-F970 compatible batteries have been a solid choice. I needed dependable batteries for my video light panels and my field monitor while working from home and for outdoor shoots. Both batteries offer an excellent capacity, running my gear for hours without interruptions. One time, I used a battery to power my 20-watt video light for over three hours, which was quite surprising.

The inclusion of a dual USB charger is a nice touch, even though it charges a bit slowly. Overnight charging sorts that out for me since I can just plug them in before bed. I do wish the batteries had an onboard power indicator for ease of use, but that’s a minor issue considering their performance. Also, the charger’s imbalance when both batteries are inserted is noticeable but not a major problem for me.

In terms of design, they fit my devices without any hassle and performed on par with more expensive, branded options. I was initially sceptical given K&F’s primary reputation for other types of accessories, but these batteries have proved to be reliable, cost-effective additions to my kit. Whether I’m in my home studio or enjoying a scenic hike while capturing footage, these batteries ensure my gear stays powered.

Each of the K&F Concept NP-F970 batteries weigh 291g (according to my scales) so are slightly more convenient to pack in my camera bag than their higher capacity counterparts.

With 6600 mA capacity, one of these batteries powered my high-brightness monitor continuously for almost 6 hours, without making it too cumbersome to setup & use.

Charging the batteries when exhausted is not a particularly quick experience with the provided charger, but is balanced by not heating the batteries during charging, so total life of the units should be very good, when compared to faster charging types.

I've got them to power a couple of LED wand lights, which should arrive soon, I'll update on their usefulness in a month or so.

These batteries work perfectly in my camera. I've only ever used the OEM batteries that I got when I bought the camera. It's great to have 2 spares and another charger. I fully charged both batteries and have tested them both in my camera. The batteries work great and last a long time. The charger seems a little bit slow. Not the end of the world as these batteries are backups for the backpack and wont be used too often. Much cheaper than OEM so in my opinion, good value for money.

These Sony NP-550 series compatible batteries which work well and produce consistent power over a sustained period of time.

The charging base holds two batteries and they are slotted in vertically which is a good space saving design. They are charged via a single USB C socket or a micro USB.

For the first charge I used a low power USB C charger and it took over 12 hours for the pair.
Then I used single batteries to separately power a Mark 1 Atomos HD Ninja and a V5 Atomos 4K Ninja.
The V1 ran for 24 hours the V5 about 6 hours. These are very different units with different power draws but the batteries worked well in both. I wouldn't hesitate to use these batteries professionally.

Great value for lots of mili-amperage of NPF for all your shooting/lighting needs.
The batteries feel solid and the charger connects solidly, confidenlty sitting them in place for charging.
They charge fast enough (not slow or anything, exactly what you expect) and the charger plate feels solid.
