I ordered these binoculars in hopes that it would let me do some quick stargazing. I have a really nice giant telescope which is outstanding, but it takes so much effort to move it and get it ready that it only comes out on special occasions. I was looking for something that I could quickly walk outside and look around.I didn't really realize that this was such a huge set of binoculars. They're impressively large. They gather a lot of light, but they're a bit too large to really hold steady. If you're going to want to get a steady image on these, you really need a tripod or lay on the ground so your hands are more still. These binoculars have a zoom knob, but I've found that zooming in on night objects doesn't allow them to focus as well, so I think it's better to just leave them zoomed out. You really don't need to zoom in too much to see some impressive sights in the night sky. I bought these out at night on the day that they were delivered, even though it wasn't an optimal viewing evening. The sky was a bit hazy and the moon was almost full, but I pointed them towards Orion near the horizon and was shocked to see how well the Orion Nebula popped out at me in the eyepieces. It wasn't as nice as my huge telescope, for sure, but I was looking at it seconds after I stepped outside. This was exactly what I was looking for.
These aren't the best binoculars that you can get, but they are quite good for this price point. You could spend ten times more money on a nicer set, but I was looking for something exactly like this - a fairly inexpensive set of binoculars that would get used. My kids have already taken it out a few times to look at stuff at night, mostly the moon because it's still big and bright, but hopefully they'll start asking me about other interesting things up there. If I can get them to start hunting around, which they would never do with my big scope at this point, maybe I can get them started on a new hobby.I'm rating these as five star, not because they are the best, but because they are very good at this price point. The optics are good at highlighting nebulas in my experience, the alignment is spot on so you don't get double images of points of lights. At the lowest zoom level, the magnification isn't huge, but that's not always important. The best tool for stargazing is the one that you use the most, and these are very easy to use. I'd recommend getting a nice, steady tripod to go with these, because that will make them much easier to use.

I specifically was looking for binoculars that I could use with a smart phone to take pictures/videos of the moon rising along a landscape. The Kentfaith high power binoculars do a great help in composing my shot.
- At 70mm I would advise using a sturdy tripod because even the smallest hand-held movement would shake the view.
- What is needed is a strong bracket so when I'm touching the smart phone or adjusting the binocular it doesn't keep bouncing around. Best practice is to use a Bluetooth trigger on the smart phone to take pictures or start video recordings. A Metal L Bracket did a better job in isolating vibration.
- Because of the right eye diopter, best practice is to mount this on the left eye piece as that side is doesn't turn. I prefer to shoot in horizontal mode so setting up the mount so that camera was level to the horizon took some practice. This way I was using the right side to set up the shot while the camera on the smartphone was using the left side.

These binoculars are exceptional. The field of view is excellent. The light gathering capability is very good. The Zoom factor is strong steady, and an accurate representation of its stated power. They are not lightweight for binoculars of their size. I can spilt double stars with them and the moon's craters and mountain ranges are clearly visible.

These are great for viewing stars and the moon, I took them on vacation to view the ocean and could see very far out and vary clear. I suggest a good tripod because it is shaky.
I find it to be a little heavy to be holding for long period of times. Other then that it’s a good product

Very powerful and clear magnification. One must follow the directions on how to adjust the binoculars for viewing.

Nice heavy duty binoculars they are heavy too. Without a tripod your arms will get fatigued quickly. I took the pics just holding my phone to the eyepiece. I rarely get good moon photos with cell phones because the brightness blurs out all the craters on the moon.Overall, these binoculars help to see the craters on the moon, but cell phone photos are rarely possible.
