I have used other variable ND filters in the past and whilst I didn't ever come across any real issues with them, I did brake my last one when dropping it in a car park!! So I bought this one having already been very impressed with the K&F square filter kit, I thought I would try them again and they haven't disappointed. I mostly use the VND filter when filming (the square kit is not ideal for filming) and in the summer it's a must-have piece of kit. The case that comes with the filter is really handy for chucking in a bag and I know it will be protected. the twisting rings are nice and chunky so its really easy to change the strength which is hand when filming.
The image quality is great with no noticeable colour casting and you don't get the wired X that you can sometimes get with the cheaper VNDs.
With a VND at this quality and price point, I really see no need to invest £300 in one.
My only very slight gripe is that I cant use my lens hood with it and the lens cap doesn't fit as snuggly as it does on the lens, meaning I cant just leave it on.

Bought for my Fuji XA5 with the kit lens. Very easy to use, just screws on and comes in a portable container. Used it quite extensively over the weekend shooting long exposure of waterfalls in daylight, worked like a charm.

in pI’m always dubious when it comes to filters as I have seen some cheap ones in that past that really degrade image quality. This neutral density film seems really good though.

It seems well made and screws on nicely on my canon EF-M lenses. The twisting adjuster works easily and smoothy and has the various stops marked on it.

Performance is really good too. There doesn’t seem to be a vignette or any other visible marks or patches on photos. The photos seem to be just as sharp and have the same quality as when shooting without the filter. I can’t tell any difference. It comes in a nice holder although this is way bigger then the filter itself.

The range of stops on the filter is good too and helps to slow things down for some major motion blur. It also works well for open aperture video. For the price I am really impressed with the quality and results.ast i got k&f ND filters and i wasn’t happy about them because the had horrible purple colour cast what i couldn’t get ride with photoshop, they were cheap. about £10 for 3 different ND filters with pouch. yeah... price does matter))) lol)) this one is NOTHING close to those what i use to have. it feels like i had ford ka and now i have ford mustang)))
ok...
i use 70-200mm is f4 and 10-18mm both have 67mm
it’s really easy to change from ND2 to ND32 don’t need to unscrew your ND filter from lens, just spin the circle.
there is NO COLOUR CAST. what is most important thing in ND filter. i would say i bought Nisi quality ND filter for twice less than Nisi.
comes in hard storage case not pouch. so when you throw your ND filter in your camera bag , you don’t have to worry about that it will smash. i would definitely buy it again.
Great for motion blur and wide aperture video Great for motion blur and wide aperture video Great for motion blur and wide aperture video Great for motion blur and wide aperture video

Great tool for making sunny conditions usable with a high aperture making pictures completely over exposed, this fixed that. Also it’s quite good to have on the camera as a kind of protecter of the lense.

Very well engineered filter, with a decent price. Being able to adjust the degree of neutral density without changing to another filter is a very useful feature. It reduces the number of filters to be carried, which in turn reduces the overall cost for a wide range of filters.
My only problem with the latest ultra-slim filters is that they’re a bit too slim when it comes to changing the filter for something else. All things considered I am more than happy to recommend this filter.

Variable ND filters are fairly new on the market. They have various uses like showing down water to give it a smooth effect, or if shooting in bright light can help reduce exposure.

This filter comes nicely packed in a box and then inside a round plastic case. The filter feels heavy and this gives it a premium feel. By adjusting the filter you can control the exposure, unlike a fixed ND filter. I’ve included a shot taken with it of a sunflower which was over exposing due to the bright sunlight. This filter allowed me to get the sunflower at the correct exposure.

Trying to get a shallow depth of field in bright light is often difficult but this filter solved this easily. It doesn’t alter the image quality unlike cheaper ND filters.

I can’t wait to get out and use this more.
Highly recommended and good value. Highly recommended and good value.

Brilliant variable filters ... I used on my Canon 5DMk4 to take video and these filters gave me the proper exposure / frame rate everytime ... I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more for future lenses of different diameter.

I knew as soon as I opened the envelope I had bought a quality item. Inside the gorgeous black outer box is a round acrylic container which flips open at the press of a button. The Filter rests on its foam bed. It looks like quality, it feels like quality.

Anyone that shoots video using a DSLR knows about camera settings and the limitations this creates in brightly lit environments. This can become a bigger problem if, like me, you like to shoot with the aperture wide open on a fast lens. It was almost impossible to do outside scenes on brighter days. To say I’m very pleased is an understatement.

Pros:
High quality, no dreaded X or aberrations and it only cost £36. I expected a lens of this quality to cost much much more.

Cons:
To be honest, there aren’t any. No, I can’t put the lens cap on when the filter is in place, but it’s no big deal to unscrew it and place it back in its case.

I am just an amateur film maker so my word counts for nought among photographers. From a film maker’s point of view, however, this is a great bit of kit to have in your bag and for the money, you can’t go wrong.

If I didn't know the price of this filter, I would have said very expensive. The coatings are very effective. I also like the copper colour ring around the edge of the filter.

Recently started to get in to hobby photography. Seen a you tube video about different filters. I loved the idea of the variable filter. You change just with a turn. When I looked it up, first thought was wow it is a bit pricey.. but it does give you several filter in one and it makes an amazing difference. Tried it out on the weekend. It was grey and horrible weather but with this filter look at my picture, makes the clouds, and the whole scene look vibrant and beautiful. I’m sold on it!
A must have variable filter! A must have variable filter!
