Allows for quick change/ installation
Fits my SEL100400GM while the lens hood is in place. Granted you'll have to install the magnetic ring first then the hood and then place the filter inside the hood but it does connect to the magnet and since this lens has a handy little slide door I can adjust the variable ND filter...lol..

I'm happy but I'm just a amatuer... if not a beginner.
