Bridging the Communication Gap
During the course of my job, I meet many clients who don't speak English. Discussing their financial matters is challenging when we cannot communicate effectively. The Free Talk (Dual Ear) mode offers a significant improvement: my client and I can each wear one earbud and communicate in our respective languages. While there's sometimes a slight, acceptable delay before the translation is generated in the target language, this is a major advantage over other phone-based translator apps I've tried. Crucially, these earbuds don't pick up conversations from the next desk, a feature that alone makes them worthwhile.
The translation quality is good; I was able to confirm its accuracy in several languages. It's convenient that you can record and transcribe in different languages by switching within the app.
I plan to try the 'Audio and Video Translation Mode' with my online language exchange friend to see how it performs.
