works well, I've used the Nikon 35mm F1.8 DX lens on this, a Nikon 50mm f1.8 G lens on this, a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 lens on this and a Nikon AF 300 f4 IF-ED lens on this. They all fit very securely and with the 35mm and 50mm, the added aperture control on the adapter really helps, although you're limited to full stops. On the 300 f4, it has it's own aperture control and i find that sometimes i'll move the adapter to f5.6 and wonder why on the lens it says f4 but it's dark. So i ended up putting gaffer tape on the adapter when using it with the 300f4 lens. All metal mounts and body, i'm not worried having a 300f4 +1.4tc + adapter on the camera.
