Following a total change of my camera equipment from a reflex to a hybrid, I was looking for a new, lighter tripod. I initially directed my choice towards a carbon tripod of only 1.3KG, ideal to transport, so much that it took place directly in my backpack and no longer outside it was so light. But in use, it was something else since I was used to an Alta Pro 263AT, I had lost this freedom of movement following this change since I did not allow you to place your box in certain positions. After putting it in the closet for a bit, I decided to find a replacement for it and so I came across this model, certainly a little heavier by 300 grams but in the end which corresponds much better to my expectations thanks to the remote arm in addition to having the possibility of transforming the tripod into a monopod in a few seconds, which allowed me to separate myself from mine at the same time and to amortize the price of this tripod. Following the first tests, it is really faultless for the moment. Even though I read the reviews, I was still surprised by the compact size and weight of this tripod. The components are all quality, it's well made. I'm 6'1" (185cm) tall and use a Pentax K1 with battery grip and 24-70mm f2.8 lens. It's a tall, heavy camera setup. My immediate concern was that the tripod will be too short and if I flip the camera vertically the tripod might fall over. To my surprise, fully extended, the camera viewfinder is almost too high for me. This places the lens over the heads of most people if you're in a crowd and most DSLR cameras have a tiltable LCD screen for viewing anyway. Its also quite stable for its weight. Horizontal or vertical, the camera was in no danger of falling. I wouldn't risk it on a windy day though.

On the ballhead there are 3 separate knobs to lock rotation, ball tilt and camera base plate. All very solid. The baseplate also has a really nice bubble level and a compass that will help you align the tripod to North for astrophotography.

If you're a hiker or traveler, I highly recommend this for the price / performance ratio.

I got this tripod for a variety of uses; landscapes to macro, portraits to travel. It is very versatile, and nice to have carry case to make it easy to bring with me.

I’ve been through a lot of tripods. Mostly cheap ones that I’ve been disappointed in. This one on the other hand is the best I’ve ever owned. Very sturdy, easy to adjust and meets all my needs.

After reading favourable reviews, I was very interested in this tripod, but was disappointed. Too clunky and chunky, movements not as smooth as they should be, a bit too much slack everywhere. I don't understand why some companies but more resources into appearance than functionality. Sirui blows this away.

It's my 2nd tripod the first summer very light and I used it for my bridge I switched to a reflex with a bigger zoom and I decided to take a tripod more suitable for the weight of my camera but I didn't want to too expensive. I have found this model it is really very good I take it with me every time I want to take photos of landscapes or other it is robust and well made, professional and in addition it turns into a monopod if there is no space in addition with the ball joint I can put my camera in different positions for more creative shots. Very happy with this purchase

The type of head is ball and fully stretched reaches about 1.3m, which is not bad but the most striking thing that folded is little more than 30cm, the shafts, joints and screws because I expected them worse, but they are quite well designed and built together and seem very durable and each part with high resistance, even the ball joint (with full 360 rotation) that although it is not a premium model if it looks manageable and strong, with rubber protections to ensure its longevity.
