This is my new favorite travel tool! It does need to link to WiFi so it can work and download all the languages it possesses properly. That aside, it’s super cool to just be able to hold a button and it tells me everything back in my designated language! Super easy to set up and use and its sound is pretty loud and accurate. I can’t wait to take this more places and listen in, because it also works for television and phone videos! And its compact size makes it easy to take anywhere. Portable and inconspicuous!!

This translator is really cool.It does a lot more than just translate. The AI bot that’s built-in can do all kinds of things. I asked it how to make cookies and it brought up a recipe. It can work online or off-line, but it has a lot more functionality when online. It can translate conversations, written language like signs. I’m going to send it with my friend when he goes to Turkey on vacation so he can report back how useful it was. I’ll update this review when he gets back. As for now I highly recommend this to anyone that’s comfortable with using technology to translate for them.

I wish that I could say that this is amazingly beyond today's translation phone apps, but it isn't quite there. It has moments of brilliance and does everything perfectly, but at other times it struggles. Where it shines is that it's not your phone or your phone battery. If you are using this at a construction site and it is broken you will be sad, but not like your mew phone bit the dust. Similarly, not using your phone's battery has value too.

This is a pretty impressive device, to my good fortune, despite being very skeptical. The data on the page makes this thing sound like "too good to be true", but I'm glad I gave it a chance. For one thing, I'll be taking another foreign language class in university sooner than not; but also, in the vendor booth environment, it'll be a great tool to have for non-English speaking customers. I'm hoping it'll be able to do Indigenous languages also at some point; the data can be added to, updated, etc. too, providing I'm reading the user manual correctly. It is so very easy to use it's almost ridiculous how simple. My roommate is of Polish decent and is looking forward to learning some with this too.

I got this ready for our next vacation to Thailand, where we travel to visit my family (technically my wife's family and my in-laws) each year. However, as I also speak French and German, and we both speak English, we already gave it a good test between those languages. So far it has worked very well, not 100% with Thai, but that it a hard language to direct translate from sometimes. This is going to be a game-changer when I am out and about on my own, as my Thai is basic and sometimes I get very stuck when people are talking to me.

I was skeptical, but this handheld language translator works really well. I tried it with a few languages, and it was able to translate small phrases back and forth in real-time without much delay. This was with it connected to my home Wifi, so it was probably using online translation. I also tried taking a picture of text in a book, and with a bit more of a delay it was able to translate chunks of the text. A part of me thinks maybe I could just use my phone for translation, but sometimes for things that get a lot of use, it could be nice to have a separate dedicated device. I think that's the rationale for this. When you're traveling in a foreign country where you do not read, write, or speak the local language, you'll be in need to translation so much that the dedicated device will be handy. The form factor is like a phone, but it's actually slightly slimmer, and so you can reach the translation back/forth buttons on the screen (and on the side) easily.

Once you get this setup and start using it, it's really cool. It translates effortlessly into your chosen language, and works like a charm each and every time. For anyone travelling this would be a must have.That being said, the instructions are - pretty basic, and focus on translating rather than the basics. You have to be willing to spend time exploring the device, trying different things, and learning. The instructions do not explain the navigation or setup very well, so with this you are on your own.But once you find the Settings Screen(Hint - Swipe right) you will finally unlock all of the features and then you are off and running.OVERALL - A bit overpriced, and it's smaller than a cell phone. But for out of the country travel it's indispensable.

I use this AI Language Translator Device as a real world tool.We live part time in Mexico, but my Spanish language skills have not caught up to my need to communicate with the locals. Some of the locals whip out there smart phones and use the translation program available online...but it doesn't work when offline. I have a lot of off line occasions where I live...either no signal or no more data available on the cell plan.This Kentfaith translator shines when I am without cell service. After downloading the off line language pack, you can translate without cell service.... It's a little slower, but nothing as slow as me trying to find the words without the translator. I'm also impressed with it's photo translation using advanced OCR image recognition...74 languages online and 40 languages.offline...as long as you have downloaded that language pack. This translator has a built in camera...take a picture of the item to be translated and the screen will display what it interprets.Now it's easier (but not perfect) to "read" printed material like menus and labels, contracts, HOA documents.It has Currency exchange built into it as well...another thing that Gringos get hung up on. I always use to use an app on my phone...but now, since I use this translator more than the phone for language translation, it's very handy to convert currency and face a Hugh surprise at check out!Touch screen works well and is easy to use. Navigation is practical and efficient.Size is the same as a cell phone...fits easily in my pocket.This is like having a friend come downtown with you so that you can understand and interact with the locals.

I really like this translator. It’s very easy to use. I like that you can just push the side button and speak. I like that it translates text as well. I do wish that you cool translate text offline instead of only being able to use the voice feature offline. I like that it has multiple languages. The size is perfect and it’s easy to carry.
