I got this camera for a spot behind my garage where WiFi doesn’t reach, it’s been easy to live with. Setup was simpler. I mounted it, let it charge in the sun, it was ready. The live view is clear during the day, at night the color view helps me see what’s going on without guessing shapes. Motion alerts show up when something moves, it is useful for checking in while I’m away. I’ve used the two way talk once or twice just to test it, it worked fine. For outdoor areas without internet, this camera fits naturally into daily use.

I needed something to keep an eye on the back forty, and the WiFi out there is pretty much nonexistent. This seemed like it might work, and it does. Setting it up was easy enough. You just put the SIM card in and download the app. It connected to the 4G signal right away. The picture quality is good, clear enough to see if someone’s messing with the fence or if the cows got out. Night vision works pretty well too, it’s not like daytime, but you can still make things out. I was worried about the battery, but the solar panel seems to keep it going pretty steady. Motion detection sends alerts to my phone, and it hasn’t given me too many false alarms so far. The app is simple to use, and I can check in on things from anywhere. The data trial was nice to start with, but I had to add more data to the SIM card after that. It’s not super expensive, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a good solution for keeping an eye on things when you don’t have WiFi.
