Well, I only buy things when I really need them.

►What do you get?
The box includes a nice carrying case, the tripod and the quick release.

Personally, I use the tripod the most and when I need to create content for social media I also use the quick release for my phone.

►How light is the tripod?

Compared to what I have used so far, it is very light weight. I would definitely recommend this especially for travelers, at 1.33kg it is wow!!

►What is carbon on this tripod?
The tubes, the rest is good quality aluminum.

►The head?

When you see or for the first time it may seem small, but from what I have experienced it does a good job. It goes 360 degrees and has markings all around, which is very useful, especially for panoramas or wide landscapes.

This really helps me when I need to film from a specific angle and then I turn the head to get a different angle and I literally take a picture from the angle the camera was previously at. This way I don’t have to worry about getting a different angle.
There is a nice branding on the plate of the head, made of rubber which keeps your camera from sliding around.
The lock works really well. When I move my almost 3kg camera to portrait mode, all the weight goes to one side and when I lock the head, it literally stays where I wanted it to. The rotation of the head is smooth, so your smooth video is not interrupted in any way.

►The middle part of the tripod?
The lock which is in the middle is easy to reach and release or lock,
There is also a wheel lock with rubber on top which allows you to make the tripod taller. I highly recommend keeping it locked down to prevent your camera from sliding down.

►The legs?
These have 4 sections and allow you to be very specific with the height.
The best thing is that when you open them, they slide down very quickly, so you don't have to pull them. For me this saves a lot of time, which I always do, I unlock all 3 legs of all sections and just leave them open. Also when you adjust the height, the legs run very smoothly.
At the bottom, these are provided with a good sturdy rubber so that the tripod does not slide. I mainly use it in the kitchen where I film a cooking program and the tripod stays well on the tiles. Also use a backpack with a capacity of about 5-7 kg for this to stabilize it well. There is a hook with which you can attach things (like in my case the backpack for more stability).

►How stable is it?
For what I use it for it is fine. Now I can't say anything about taking it with me on walks where the wind can be a problem.

I use it strictly in the kithen and I move it quite a lot to capture different angles.

►Why did I buy this instead of others?
It is very simple, because it is light and compact. Sometimes I have to travel to my clients for food shots and I have to carry the stuff with me and I wanted something to save weight and size. This tripod is what I needed.

►The quick release?
Well built and looks nice too, I would say to use it more with the phones. It is very practical to have it at hand and I think it is a good addition that you get this with the tripod.

►The carrying case?
Good!! You can easily put the tripod on it (only folded properly) and maybe some other small stuff, there is still room to spare.

► Overall experience with this?
Was a bit surprised to realize how light and compact this is. Easy to use and stable enough for my static setup and the 3kg camera that I use most.

►Cons? I have not found any so far.

I'll update this review in a few months to let you know in time how this performs.

I've never really cared about carbon fiber tripods, I've been using metal tripods for years and liked their weight. When the K&F Concept 67" Carbon Fiber Camera Tripod arrived I was surprised at how light it was. The ball head is the heaviest part of the tripod. Now I have to admit I have a low profile KFconcept ball head so I swapped it out for this tripod. The legs are smooth and quick to release and hold and I like how premium it feels.

The tripod held up to everything I threw at it. I went out for a four hour shoot and took a few star trail shots. The tripod was so sturdy I didn't have to line up any shots in Photoshop! No camera shake, no movement. It was SOLID.

I did a few macro shots and again, no movement and the image was pin sharp.

The last one I tried was a 6 minute sunrise shot and again the tripod was sturdy even in wind. I didn't weigh the tripod down with my bag. It wasn't necessary..

If you are in the market for a new tripod I would recommend this highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. It is VERY sturdy and I would happily use it and am already using it for my paid photography work.

We all buy for a reason, I mean especially in this photo-video industry.
I have never bought something just because I want it, just because I need it.
So why did I need another tripod when I already have... as I remember 7???

Well one day I got a call from a gentleman asking me to take pictures of furniture in 30 houses.
Of course I accepted the job.
So I made a list of what I want to take with me and a must was the tripod. Well the tripod I mainly use is absolutely great but .......... it is too big (even folded) and too heavy to carry around.
I have enough stuff in my backpack when I go to take those pictures and one day I said to myself: you need another tripod, light... very light and compact.
The other tripod didn't fit in my backpack so I had to attach it to the outside which is not so great especially since I travel a lot in London
It all starts with WHY? It all starts with WHY? It all starts with WHY? It all starts with WHY? It all starts with WHY?

The real trend of recent years is the travel tripod, which stands out for:
- lightness
- compactness

These two features make it the best choice for travellers, because it takes up little space in the luggage, but also for those who take long walks, not for this reason my choice fell on the Carbon Fiber Camera Tripod SA254C2
a really light photo tripod. Its weight is 1.3kg/2.9lbs, which makes it the ideal companion for long hikes, travel photography and general landscape photography. The quality of the K&F tripod is high, far superior to the price at which it's sold. Excellent both from the point of portability and handling

The tripod is two pounds lighter than the one I had been using and much shorter when collapsed. I really like that! However, when I tilt the camera head towards the locking nut, there can be interference with the base of the quick release plate. I've discovered that you can pull out the spring loaded handle to reset its location but there are two issues with doing that. 1. Its tedious and with my big hands, hard to get in there, and; 2. I'm right handed and it seems like the handle was placed on the wrong side. I have to work it with my left hand. Turning the camera around to swing the handle to the right puts it ahead of the camera where it's difficult to see, not to mention that the ball slot (used to clear the ball stem and tilt the camera forward) is now at the back of the camera. Pretty much useless there unless you take photos of the sky. I considered swapping out the Manfrotto ball head from my other tripod as it has the tightening handle at the rear, easily accessible but I felt like I would lose the weight advantage. So, I probably wouldn't have bought this if I had know how inconveniently placed all the control/tightening handles were, but again, I do like the weight savings.

WEEKS LATER: After using this tripod for awhile I’m getting used to avoiding the design issues that caused the interference. However as a product designer myself I recognize that “workaround” should not be in a design engineers vocabulary. K&F contacted me and told me they have discussed the design issues with the team. As a result I’ve added a star to the rating.

do video production and a lot of times I need to run and gun and travel light. This tripod does just that. I allows me to take gear on the road and stay nimble. It can also double as a monopod which is a great bonus.

I am pleasantly surprised at how incredibly light this tripod is. Initially I had a flex camera tripod and a second sturdier aluminium tripod (for windy days and short walks). I am now selling them both. My aluminium tripod, while sturdy, was a pain on walks when I was trying to lose weight. And the flex tripod, while light, was useless unless there was a branch or something to hang it from. Even then I nervously took a photo, hoping it would hold the weight of my expensive camera gear.

This, on the other hand, once I had it strapped to my rucksack I hardly noticed it. Sometimes I found myself doing a double exposure to make sure it hadn't fallen off. But don't let the weight fool you, this is sturdy, I live in Scotland and this can withstand a Scottish wind without a second thought. If I was in any doubt I would just hang a weight on the hook under the centre column. And boy is this tripod versatile, it can go incredibly low and high, the angles it holds, it’s like watching a yoga instructor effortlessly go from one position to the next. The ball head is very smooth and the camera feels very secure and in place. What makes this excellent again is the price for a carbon fiber tripod. I have a mirrorless camera so I generally like to carry light and now I don’t have to compromise on weight when hiking.

was skeptical at first, but it is a solid piece. It is not as steady as my trusted Manfrotto, but it is 1/5 of the weight, so it is assumed not to be rock-steady. But for what it cost, it is an excellent tool, and I'm happy with it. I use it with My Canon 6D and various lenses, including long telefoto zooms (70-200). I carry it strapped to my backpack while hiking. There is absolutely no creep in the head, it is precise and has a good positive feeling when you lock it.

I bought this tripod to do astrophotography with an equatorial mount, the stability is perfect given the weight of the mount and the camera. The mount is light and easy to set up, I can easily do my photo sessions without carrying 30kg of equipment. In addition, it serves as a classic tripod for taking photos in all situations.
