K&F Concept Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F/AI/AIS/D/AF-S Mount Lens to Nikon Z Mount Z6 Z7 Mirrorless Cameras

Application:

• Manual adapter without electronic contacts, doesn't support auto-focus / aperture control, but supports focus to infinity. The lens with a manual adapter will be the maximum aperture by default (EXCEPT your lens has a manual aperture control ring).

• If “No Lens Attached” - warning appears, the camera needs to be set to function. You can do this by changing the following camera setting: 'Menu' -> 'Setup' -> 'Release w/o Lens' -> 'Enable' (Exact naming and location of this option depend on camera model).

• Set camera "release shutter without lens" to enable when using the adapter for the first time, or the camera will fail to recognize the lens and the shutter may not be released.

Suitable for:

• Lens: Nikon F Mount Lens
• Camera: Nikon Z mount cameras (Attention: different from Nikon AI/F mount cameras)
• Properly installed when you rotate about 90 degrees and hear a light "click". Please screw the lens adapter lightly and skillfully, needn't too much force.
• Check if there is any button on the adapter before using. You can watch the video on the product page for guidance of installing and removing the manual adapter.

Infinity focus position:

The position of the infinity mark [∞] of the telephoto lens or super telephoto lens is shifted slightly to the positive side to enable focus adjustment even when focus shift is caused due to temperature changes. The shift range is denoted by an L-shaped line, Be sure to check the focus through the viewfinder even when you shoot at infinity.

Note:

• Adapting APS-frame lens to full-frame camera, it may generate vignetting, some cameras could correct it by adjust APSC.
• Adapting full-frame lens to APS-frame camera provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the 'sweet spot' or center of the larger lens image circle. And it will magnify the focal length by 1.6 on Canon, 1.5 on Nikon and Sony, 2.0 on M4/3 camera.

Works well.

Not the most exciting of photographic kit, nonetheless, it either works or it's useless. This fits well, no stiffness no dramas and the lenses adapt (manual only). Works with both full frame and DX lenses, and is easy to use with the focus highlighting features of these mirrored cameras (albeit as a 10MP - Z6 - or 19MP - Z7 - crop in the DX mode). Extended the life of my A mount prime lenses, which, given the current prices of S line lenses, is no bad thing. Slight vignetting on my Sony 50'm 1.8, but nothing major.

OK for the price.

Delivered promptly in its own little box. It works fine on my Z7. Nice fit without being too slack or tight.Only 4 stars because1. It comes without caps. So you can’t leave it on your favourite lens all the time unless you purchase an extra Nikon z body cap and z lens cap.2. It had some dust inside. A brand new product should be spotlessly clean.

Can this adapter achieve aperture/f-stop control or autofocus?

No, it's a manual adapter without electronic contacts, doesn't support autofocus/auto diaphragm/aperture control.

Why my lens can't get focus to infinity with this adapter?

Our adapters support to focus to infinity. Since it's a manual adapter, if you come with this issue, please try to set the camera as MF (manual foucus) mode, then turn the focus ring to the infinity (∞). And please try to turn back a little to achieve focus to infinity in case the infinity mark of some lenses is not accurate enough. Besides, the position of the infinity mark [∞] of the telephoto lens or super telephoto lens is shifted slightly to the positive side to enable focus adjustment even when focus shift is caused due to temperature changes. The shift range is denoted by an L-shaped line, please be sure to check the focus through the viewfinder even when you shoot at infinity.
